AXIS T83 Microphones are discreet top-quality microphones very reliable even in demanding environments. The series comprises omnidirectional condenser microphones, AXIS T8351 Microphone 3.5 mm, AXIS T8353A Microphone 3.5 mm and AXIS T8353B Microphone Phantom Power. AXIS T8353 microphones are based on components normally used in recording studios, television stations and concert halls.
AXIS T8351 microphone provides enhanced audio quality compared to the built-in camera microphone.

AXIS T8351 and T8353A have a 3.5 mm adaptor, compatible with Axis M-, P- and Q-line network video products supporting a 3.5 mm jack for microphone input.
AXIS T8353B Microphone Phantom Power is an omnidirectional microphone with an XLR contact and a pigtail adaptor.
AXIS T8351 Microphone offers a broad range of mounting accessories to facilitate installation. Choose among wall, ceiling or covert installation. The 5 meters (197 in) long cable allows the microphone to be installed closer to the sound source. Thanks to the IP66 rating, AXIS T8351 can be installed in semi-outdoor environments, such as under ceilings at airports and porches in subways or schools. AXIS T8353 microphones offer a conceal size that makes them suitable for covert audio surveillance
The design of the AXIS T8353 Microphones allow for discreet and flexible installation. The microphones can be used for covert audio detection or as a complement to an indoor video surveillance. An interrogation room can be a typical surveillance scenario where good audio quality is a key factor. The room can be located at a police station, customs office, detention or at a social office. Another scenario can be at a bank or a postal office where the microphone is used for surveillance.
Audio detection may be useful to a security operator interested in listening to what is happening at a specific location in order to evaluate the urgency level in a situation, e.g. a sound of fighting, screaming, slamming doors or gunshots.
